Is there any such thing. I understand the JD post hole digger wont work with the 2210. also- from a total newbie- what is the difference between the JD2210 3 pt hitch and a standard 3 pt Hitch (limited v standard)

Your two questions are related. The limited 3-point refers to the fact that the lift arms on you hitch are very short, limiting some of the implements you can use. It has the standard 26" lift arm spacing for cat-1, that is accomplished by the way the arms bend around the rear tires. But since the lift arms are short, the lift height is limited. Some standard size rear implements would be difficult to use. For example, the standard moldboard height on a box blade is about 17". You would have a difficult time lifting the box high enough to move around. Many implement manufacturers now have a line of implements designed to be used with the sub-compacts, or limited 3-point hitches. Kingkutter has the XB line for example. The moldboard on the XB48 is 12" high, very well suited to a sub-compact.
This is also true with PHDs. Many manufacturers now have PHD's for subcompacts. The augers are ussually limited to 30"-32" due to the limited lift height. Try Worksaver or Farmstar, Speedco, to name a few. There are several units out there that will fit your hitch.

Look at green mfg at www.green-mfg.com
They make a good PHD and make a unit within the 32" height limitation, the JR series...
I have the em5000 its the same gear box and all but the auger shaft is smaller on the JR series...I like it a lot well made, and the auger is as well.

I was considering a posthole digger for my 2210, but since I had only 20 holes to dig, I gave-up and dug them by hand. Anyway, the one that I had looked into is made by "Frontier" (model PHD100) sold thru John Deere dealers. It shows 6", 9" and 12" x 30" augers available. If you search "Frontier" on the John Deere web site, you should find info on this, and other Frontier implements sized for the 2210. ....
